My story, the first in what is to be a series of Christmas Miracle themed stories is entitled Santa is a Lady and takes place in a magical town called Northeringale.
While writing , I imagined this delightfully small town where everyone creates a miniature Winter Wonderland devoted to all things Christmas, probably because I grew up in a small town that had many of the characteristics I gave to Northeringale.
I began writing back when I scraped through the process as a girl beneath the tented sheets of my bed late at night my flashlight aimed narrowly for illumination and a pen and paper my only implements for recording my convoluted world view. I have no idea what happened to those long ago scribblings. No doubt my dog, Heidi, a very wise, and adoring German Shepherd pup, turned them into doggie confetti that eventually became fodder for the local pig farmer, or ticker tape at the yearly fire company fair.
Today, I am a retired Special Education Teacher and the mother of two adult children, my daughter Kat Holmes, a beautiful and astoundingly talented published author in her own right, and a gorgeous son who will be the model for my hero in some of my upcoming stories, but here's a teaser...he is 6 ft 2 in tall, has jet black hair, dark brown eyes that are almost black, the longest eyelashes that are absolutely unfairly sinful on a man, a mouth that dimples delightfully when he smiles, and a body that has had me beating women away since he turned eleven.
I am also the bemused and thoroughly enchanted pet of two beguiling mutt cats who love me unconditionally while keeping me on my toes.
Back to my WOW...I am on the threshold of a dream and the stars before me seem huge. I cannot imagine what is in store for me, but I am eager to ride this comet wherever it takes me.
Thank You MuseItUpPublishing, Lea and Carrie

I'm a big Harry Potter/Twilight/Vampire Diaries fan, books and movies. Is that what I'm seeking as a publisher?
Do you have a twist that's totally different from these books?
Are your characters memorable?
Is there a point besides the blood-sucking vampires to your story?
Are there demons, angels, trolls, goblins, witches, magic, romance, dragons, etc? Do these elements matter to me? Again, depends...
how you package your work and flesh the whole story.
But there's more to young adult than magic, and vampires. But what is it? Do you have that 'what is it?' factor?
If so, consider submitting your story to us. We'll have an answer to you within 3-6 weeks.
D.K. Dunlap and Mary Andrews.
D.K. Dunlap's book is the first in the series Magic in the Americas: Fallon O'Reilly and the Ice Queen's Lair, a Young Adult fantasy adventure.
Mary Andrews' book is the second in her sci-fi series The Fireborn Chronicles.
Congratulations and welcome to MuseItUp Publishing, ladies.

we openly acknowledge some of our fellow publishers who have supported us in various ways:
Kim Richards, publisher of Damnation Books and Eternal Press...
Renee Rocco, publisher of Lyrical Press...
Vivian Zabel, publisher of 4RV Publishing...
Mary Keith, publisher of Keith Publishing...
these ladies were genuinely thrilled and supportive when I mentioned I was opening up my own e-publishing house. And for that I cannot thank them enough. This has been my final goal in my writing career and have to say I am excited that it's finally arrived. There's an amazing team of editors and cover artist as my right hands that I'm very proud of. Knowledge of the various genres we accept will come in handy when it's time to introduce author and editor during the editing stage. As for me, my email is always open to authors for any questions they may have.
Our doors are open, and invite Canadian and American authors to send us their manuscripts. Check our submission guidelines within this blog.
Romance & Sub-Genres
Do you write romance? If so, consider checking out our guidelines.
For our erotica writers, our guidelines are the same except that all erotica books will be hosted on our upcoming website: MuseItHOT! Submissions are now open for erotica along with mainstream romance noted above.

What if you were told you had to abandon your home, your friends, your loved ones, your career, your money, your dreams, and most importantly, your life? And not only temporarily but indefinitely? An impossible scenario that no scientist can properly explain happens in the year 2015ad. A phenomenon. A scientific theory never thought possible could ever come to pass. Humankind undergoes a procedure that no man, woman or child can ever prepare for.
A story of science, history and fantasy will bring two worlds together to help keep balance, freedom and survival from falling apart. One world where science fails them and one world where epidemics surface when rules are broken.
In a state of pure desperation, the never ending black sky is life’s last search for survival…
